FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
09-30-08 -- The Women's Initiative in San Francisco is a non-profit that is dedicated to helping low income women learn how to start and grow their own business. I've been taking their Simple Steps To Business Success to learn how to write a business plan. I'm coming to the end of my classes and my business plan is being assembled piece by piece.
I started this web section in December of 2007 and I'll graduate from my Simple Steps class on October 29, 2008.
If I've learned anything it is that the devil is in the details. Had I gone willy nilly into starting a business without the training I've received in the last three months I'd have set myself up for some serious problems down the road.
I still have things I need to do, like get that business license and DBA, but I feel more sure of what I'm doing when I do those things, and why I must lay down a secure foundation before officially opening the door to this e-commerce section.
