10-12-08: Uranus is transiting my second house. Uranus rules astrology and computers. The second house rules innovative ways of earning income. With that cosmic nudge I'm offering astrology readings. I have been studying Astrology since 1966.

Someone asked me if I'm such a good astrologer why aren't I rich. That's a good question but a bad measure of success in life.

I'm a good enough astrologer to have survived my difficult astrology chart. I'm not dead. I don't have a criminal record. I've never been arrested. I survived growing up in poverty and in spite of that receiving a BA in English Literature, no small feat being a daughter of a non-native speaker. I've been able to manifest my creative potential. No matter what happens to me in my life I've been able to run between the rain drops of life and not get wet and I attribute that to the study and application of astrology.

Someone asked me why I waited to open my e-commerce business during this difficult economic time. That also is a good question. I'm experiencing my second Saturn return and my fifth Jupiter return. "Returns" are when a planet revisited where it was when you were born. The first Saturn return happens when you are 28-29. I went through a big change in my life at that time: gave up drinking alcohol as self medication, realigned my ethics to a spiritual path, re-doubled my efforts to do well in college (in spite of the fact that I was a single mother of 2 on welfare and financial aid).

Now that I'm 59 and experiencing my second Saturn return it is time to realign my career to be one that is a reflection of who I am and what I value. Art has always been put on the back burner in my life because of being a mother. I had to go to work in the corporate arena and those who know me personally know that was a "bad fit". But I did what I had to do because my children were of tender years. Now that my children are born, art has been put on the front burner. More importantly astrology has been put on the front burner also.

Jupiter returns indicate a new phase of growth and development in one's life. What were the big changes that happened to you at 12, 24, 36, 48, and as in my case, as I'm nearing 60? It is a time to push forward, write about what one knows, pursue higher studies.

What would be the difference between getting a reading from me or getting a computer generated reading that is complied by using your birth data? I'm a human being and no computer generated reading takes into consideration the individual differences between people: religious beliefs or lack there of, sexual orientation, metaphysical background, age related rites of passage. A reading for a young adult building a new life with a significant other is a different reading than one for an older adult who is grieving the loss of their spouse. Computer complied readings are cut and paste "cook book" and one size does not fit all, even with the birth data narrowing the search down.

Instead of offering you a potato, a carrot, an onion, and a chicken that does not want to go into the pot, I make chicken soup and offer it with love. That's what I offer and that's what a computer complied reading cannot do, take the ingredients and make it into something that is understandable to someone not familiar with astrology. 

If you're interested in getting a reading remember it's not just "Sun sign" astrology that I practice, remember that it not a "quick fix". It is more like establishing a relationship with someone who helps you know more about who you are, what your potentials are, and what emotional and psychological landscape you are likely to face going forward in the future.

The first thing that one would wonder about at this point is price. I am offering a sliding scale because of these difficult economic times. If what you can offer is a small token of appreciation then I'll give you the most important thing I can see in your transits.

(1) A free area where non registered visitors can poke about and read about general astrology information.

(2) A free area for registered users where they can poke about for current transit information. Registered users will be able to start topics, post to topics others have started, change the look of their interface, communicate with one another, write journals, and other fun stuff that comes with registering.

(3) A "for fee" area will be for subscribers. Each subscriber will be given a  private forum that they can ask personal questions regarding their chart, the charts of their friends and family. Think of it as having an astrologer on retainer for a small fee each month.

There are websites where we can get a free chart wheel, 36 months of transit (future forecast) data. What is lacking is the interpretation of that information. There are a gazillion astrologers out there you can check out, that's the truth. But people who are going to be checking my website are people who know me from CITY-o-Clay, who have know me to offer free tutorials and webcam demos over the years, people who have benefitted from the charitable services that CITY-o-Clay has offered over the years.
